What’s Missing In My Life?

whats missing in my life sad unhappy unsatisfied

If you don’t know what’s missing in your life, then you’ve been asking yourself the wrong question.

Perhaps you should ask “What’s present in my life that’s preventing me from getting what’s missing in my life?”

It may sound like an odd way to ask the question but the way you phrase questions to yourself will dictate how you think about everything. And if you change the way you think, you can change your results.

When you don’t know what’s missing, you don’t know what to focus on to obtain what’s missing. So maybe it’s time to change the questions you ask yourself.

“What’s missing in my life?”

No… How about: “What is in my life right now that, if it were missing, would help me get what I need to feel happy?”

How your phrase your language changes how you think about a problem.

The above question sounds weird on purpose. And in order to understand it, you need to reach inside yourself a little deeper than you normally would. This will help you access your innermost resources that will help you come up with a solution.

Setting Goals for People who Hate Setting Goals

img-1I hate setting goals, so I had to figure out how I could get what I want in life without following the standard goal-setting steps we’re always taught.

Just writing down a goal makes me cringe. But why?

Perhaps it’s because I’m not one of those highly organized people full of energy, That could be half of it, but it’s certainly not the whole picture.

In this article, I’m going to share with you how to get what you want without setting goals. If you hate setting goals like I do, I think this post will give you a lot of relief.

When Others Aren’t Ready for you to Evolve

learn heal grow evolve personal growth teacher tony robbinsUnfortunately, the more we grow and evolve, the more others who aren’t ready to do the same will want us to stay the same. If you’re around friends and family who just can’t seem to get on board with you getting healthier, what do you do? Do you just pretend to be the same old person you always were around them just to keep them happy? Or do you embrace this new you and leave it up to them to get used to the new you?

Important questions, especially since we all know at least one person that probably doesn’t support our evolution. Is there an easy path where everyone can get along magically? Nope. But there is a path, and that’s what I’ll be talking about today.

The Personal Emotional Challenges that Keep us From Business Success

depression anxiety happy successWhen I started The Overwhelmed Brain, I had no clue how I would be able to sustain it. But instead of concerning myself with an unknown future, I fearlessly purchased audio equipment and set my sights on the target of creating a weekly podcast that would spread my message.

About 6 months into the show, the reality that I would need an income to support it hit me hard. So, once again, I chose not to concern myself with a fear of an unknown future. Instead, I quit my job and started doing the show full time.

Having no money, I dug into savings to live off of for a while. And while exploring my options to make this show and everything associated with it more than just a hobby, I knew I had to make it into a living.

Pursuing a passion does involve creating a way to sustain that passion. In this episode, I am interviewed by Mike Sutton about the emotional aspects of running a business, and what it takes to get beyond the fears and doubts that almost everyone in business, whether their own or working for someone else, goes through.  [Read more…]

How Long is Your Runway?

Whether you want to quit your job, quit your relationship, move to a new city, state or country, start a new venture, start a new adventure, or follow a passion that doesn’t pay (yet), having a runway will make the transition much easier.

Your “runway” is the length of time and resources you’ll have before you make the decision to do what it is you want to do. [Read more…]
