Why do we fall off course so easily? When you prioritize tasks that take your time away from the things you want to accomplish, you fall back farther and farther until you are no longer making progress. In fact, you might even end up going backward.

Sometimes you are not in alignment with a bigger vision for yourself. The reason is that you might actually have a value hidden under the surface that you didn’t even know was there. I talk about this self-sabotaging behavior in segment one of this episode.

When I was in my late 20s, I started developing pain in my butt and right leg. It was very minor, and more of an annoyance than anything, but enough of a signal that prompted me to see someone about it.

I wasn’t sure who to see, but I ended up choosing a chiropractor. I went, she moved my body in a certain way, I heard cracks and pops, and the next day the pain was gone.

After I got married, I developed stomach issues. My stomach would burn after I ate anything with tomato sauce, onions, or garlic. So, pizza was killing me!

Repressed emotions cause harm to the body

repressed emotional painThe deepest recesses of our subconscious mind are where our repressed, negative thoughts and emotions linger, causing harm to both our daily thought processes and our body. If you want to know why affirmations or positive thinking doesn’t seem to work for you, it’s probably because you’re holding on to some deeper stuff that needs to be released.

When you finally do release those old, unresolved negative emotions, positive thinking comes naturally and affirmations might actually start working the way you originally intended.
